I’m not sure what it is about subscriptions…but I’m addicted.I guess we all have our weaknesses.
Sometimes, I ask myself, or more honestly, my husband asks me, why I love them so much.
Is it that the little packages of joy break the monotony of my days? Is it the opportunity to try new products, clothes, books, or something else, that I just wouldn’t have otherwise? Is it the chance to try something I couldn’t really afford?
Whatever it is – suffice to say – I love subscriptions, and I can really see how things like The Subscription Addiction blog happened. You go, girl – and if you’re reading this, please be my friend.
Moving on. Today we are talking about the September box from the Allure Beauty Box. I bought this on Amazon, because I love buying things on Amazon. (Amazon PRIME, Holla!)
It comes in this gorgeous, shiny little red box. Red is my favorite color:

Let’s take a peek inside…
2. The Products
Yeah, baby!Hey,Drunk Elephant T.L.C Sukari Babyfacial – COME TO MAMA.
GIMME ALL THE DRUNK ELEPHANT.
This is one of the Drunk Elephant products I have been dying to try, but wasn’t ready to fork over the asking price. I fell in love with the line when I got the Drunk Elephant Littles as a birthday gift (review on that coming soon!) and have been waiting – rather impatiently – to try this one out.
The reviews on this are incredible, with over 1,000 on Sephora culminating in a 4.5 rating and similar across the board. I knew this one was gonna be good.
LET ME TELL YOU…IT’S GOOOOOOOOD.
If this was the ONLY thing in the box, I would have been ecstatic.
But there’s more. So much more.
Tarteist lashes and lash glue = totally awesome. I like to wear falsies when we take family pictures, because – yeah, I’m lash challenged. Just keepin’ it 100.Tarte is one of my favorite brands because they err on the more natural side of things. For example, these lashes are cruelty-free and reusable, with a really nice variety of lash lengths. These will be used #ChristmasCards.
Also, MAC lipstick in Ruby Woo. Really pretty shade of red. Probably won’t wear this too often because #kids. But, on a date night? Heck yeah.
Lastly,IGK’s Rich Kid Coconut Oil Gel. I am super excited about this one, too. It’s been on my wish list, because I already have IGK’s Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm – which I LOVE. I use it on mornings when I won’t be styling my hair – which is almost always. It helps my hair to dry into luscious, delicious smelling locks, rather than the electrocuted chia pet I usually channel.
I also have the IGK Good Behavior Spirulina Protein Smoothing Spray, which is equally amazing. I use this one on the days when I actually DO style my hair. After I blow-dry, I spray this all over, and then I straighten or curl.
I have found that it dramatically improves the length of time before my hair begins to freak out. So, it basically, encourages – good behavior. Ha, see what I did there 😉
MY POINT IS…that I had NOT tried the Rich Kid Coconut Oil Gel and I am TOTALLY OBSESSED WITH IT NOW. I am also a little sad that the container is so small, because I will now be online buying the full size of it very soon. Sad face.
3. The Booklet
This little book is awesome. If you ever feel confused by ALL. THE. GIRL. THINGS. or get woozy walking in to a Sephora, you are going to love this. And, even if you are a super pro makeup guru, there’s something for you, too, and that – my friend – is exclusive Allure coupons.
Yup. That’s right. I said it.
So, if you consider the value of these coupons – it’s kind of like they’re giving these boxes away.
4. The Verdict
This was a BIG. WIN. I LOVED it – even more so than several other similar type boxes that have come before it.I will most certainly be keeping my subscription and looking forward to future boxes.
