One of my goals this year is to reduce my sugar intake and increase my protein. While I’ve done a lot of work on my diet over the years, I still get a lot of sugar from my daily coffee drinks, because I cannot drink coffee without sugar. I have been told that that means I am addicted to sugar and not caffeine, but I like to think it’s both, which is why drinking them together is such an effective pairing. That being said, it’s incredibly easy to drink a coffee that has 50g or even 80g of sugar, without even realizing it. This is often the sugar content in the drinks you’d order right off the menu at a coffeeshop, without any substitutions. How crazy is that?
Since learning how much sugar is in, well, everything, including my favorite coffee drinks, I have been slowly reducing my sugar intake, swapping out ingredients for no sugar options, and weaning myself off a bunch of creamer and syrups in my coffees. So, when I found this vanilla collagen creamer, with a super clean ingredient list and none of the gross stuff, I was all in. Today, I’m going to share with you my new favorite coffee collagen creamer by Naked Nutrition.
Naked Vanilla Collagen Creamer:
If you’ve been into the new protein coffee trend, you’re going to love this. Just two scoops of this creamer packs 9g of protein and 0g of sugar! And, unlike other protein coffee milks that have seed oils and other gross ingredients, this one has just four ingredients. Plus, this creamer is so easy to mix with hot coffee or tea and gives the coffee a creamy, frothy texture.
I use Nespresso to make my espresso shots and coffee drinks, and I love how this powdered collagen creamer blends right in easily and my coffee still has a great frothy texture. Plus, I know that I’m drinking good stuff my body needs, like: protein, 100% grass fed collagen, MCT oil and more.
Just as important, here are all of the things that are NOT in this creamer: artificial sweeteners, dairy, soy, gluten, GMOs, additives, unnecessary chemicals, and a lot more. If you look at the back of this ingredient label vs. similar powdered creamers, or even liquid creamers, you’ll be amazed at all of the oils, carrageenan, and other inflammatory ingredients that are added to something simple like a popular coffee creamer.
Luckily, even though this one has 0g of sugar, it is still sweet. They use fermented cane sugar, which is a natural, non-calorie sweetener made from the stevia plant. It’s 200-350 times sweeter than sugar and has a similar taste profile. This is great if you feel like me and prefer to have your coffee taste sweet. For once, we can have our cake and eat it, too.

What We Eat Matters:
I’m always looking for ways to clean up my diet. It has a powerful effect on the body and since mine is more prone to inflammation than others, thanks to two autoimmune diseases, I am especially mindful of these things. In fact, I recently turned over a bottle of chicken bouillon I was using and it had corn syrup and soy protein in it? Like, huh? Chicken broth should not have that in there! Same thing with crackers, ketchup, and salad dressing.
If you want to be stunned, start turning over every product you buy in the store before you put it in the cart. If you see added sugars, seed oils, or corn syrups, just put it back on the shelf. Pick something else and pat yourself on the back for doing something good for your health. Small swaps make a difference over time, reducing the overwhelming toxic burden on our bodies from the sugar added to almost everything. This Naked collagen creamer is such a quick and easy swap. Let me show you how easy this coffee is to make:
How To Make It:
To recreate this easy coffee at home, you only need two ingredients: coffee and Naked Vanilla Collagen Creamer. You could also try the other flavors, like caramel and chocolate.
Add two scoops of the creamer to your mug. As you brew your Nespresso pod or pour in your hot coffee, stir or froth the coffee with the creamer to mix. If you’re using a hand frother like I do, make sure to only do this when there’s a little coffee in the cup. If it’s half full or more, frothing it this way will cause it to spill over the sides.
Fill that mug all the way to the top and enjoy. You could also top with whipped cream and toppings if you want.
This is super easy to travel with, too. You could easily put this in a little to go container and then use it with in room coffee stations instead of Coffeemate.
*****
I drink at least one cup of coffee a day. I love it. I hope I never have to give it up. But, I can’t drink it black. A healthier alternative like this creamer by Naked Nutrition gives my coffee more protein, no sugar, less carbs, and less crappy ingredients, while still tasting great.
That’s something worth waking up for!
