My Cozytober Wantable Box: What I Got & What I Kept

Wantable Cozytober edit

I love the Wantable Cozytober box. I have ordered it every year since they started it. I’m such a big fan of all things cozy, so it’s right up my style alley. They do have different box options, based on what you’re looking for, and you can customize your choices before they send the box.

Let’s take a look at how the box works, and then I’ll show you what I received, and what I kept. There was definitely some surprise winners in this box. I love when I find new items that I would never have picked up for myself at a store, but end up loving.

Here’s how the Cozytober box works:

There are different options that you choose from, and you can order more than one! I got the STYLE option, because I wanted cardigans, jackets, and jeans.

One of my favorite parts of using Wantable’s style service is that we get to make some of the choices. A link is sent with some of the items that will be in the box and you can approve them or decline them, and then select other things. I was able to select 5 of the pieces in my box this way. Here’s what I picked:

This is so great, because then you know you’ll like some of them, but then there’s still an element of surprise. Oh, and if you’d like $25 off your own edit, use my referral code to save.

My Wantable Cozytober Edit:

Here’s the items that came in my box. It was a great collection, and the choices came down to choosing items that I don’t already have and would go with other things I do have. I’m trying to do better about not buying random things. As I get older, I find myself gravitating toward the same pieces over and over again, and giving away lots of old clothes. So, I was super picky with what I kept, and I’m really happy with my choices.

1. Wide Leg Jeans with Center Seam:

These were great. A very nice weight to them, but I could feel the center seam on the legs and I knew it would irritate me after awhile.

2.  Striped Cropped Tank:

Gotta love a striped tank or tee as a layering piece. Sadly, this was too cropped for my taste.

3.  Paris Sweatshirt:

I chose this one and really wanted it. Sadly, the cut wasn’t great for me. It was a little too fitted on the bottom and I like my sweatshirts more loose and slouchy. Loved the look, though.

4. Cozytober Sweatshirt:

This was absolutely cozy. The fabric. was so light and soft. A perfect layering piece. I sent it back because it’s almost identical to one I got last year, but I loved it.

5. Striped Knit Cardigan:

I was super close to keeping this one. Really liked the colors and the cozy fabric and fit. I just wasn’t sure I’d wear it enough to buy it.

6. Super Soft Aztec Cardigan:

This felt like a cozy blanket with sleeves. I wanted to keep this one, but it was too similar to one that I already have.

7. Long Fleece Coat:

This one surprised me in the best way! It has a nice weight to it, but not too heavy. Perfect for the chilly California winters when you don’t really need a heavy jacket, but something is nice. It is long on me, since I’m 5’5, but had good movement when I moved around. I can already imagine bundling up in this while running carpool with the kids. I kept this one.

8. Long Denim Jacket with Shearling Details:

I was on the fence at first, but the fit of this is so nice in person. The tailoring makes it flattering for a long, bulkier coat, and the denim is cozy without being suffocatingly warm. The shearling details are one of my favorite things. I love soft details like that. I almost sent it back, because I wondered if it was a little bit too “founding fathers”, but a friend said it made her think of the movie “Almost Famous”, and well, that meant I had to have it.

9. Shearling Coat with Suede Detailing:

This was the most difficult jacket to part with, but it was just a size too small. Still fit, still cozy, but snug enough that I knew I wouldn’t wear it. I could have requested a larger size, but I was already keeping the two long jackets and that was my budget limit for this box.

Wantable Cozytober: What I Kept

Overall, I love the two jackets that I chose to keep. They bring something to my wardrobe that I don’t already have, they’re super cozy, and they’re a lot of fun. That’s what I love about these boxes: the anticipation of getting them, the surprises, and the chance to find something new. As a busy mom, we are the ones creating surprises for others, so it’s nice to treat ourselves, too.
