I’m always a little sad when I see the rainy skies transition to warm days. It means it’s just a matter of time before the summer heat is back and with it, my old nemesis: mosquitoes. To be fair, I’m not a big fan of insects in general, but I hate mosquitoes more than most for one simple reason: I’m allergic to their bites. I get huge, swollen lumps every time one of them gets me, which is problematic in the summer, when my kids want to play in the pool and I’d have to walk around in a hazmat suit to avoid getting bit at all.
Luckily, I’ve figured out a couple things that work over the years. For example, this bug spray is excellent. Bug bracelets, also, can be a big win. And, we even took care to plant anti-mosquito plants around the backyard when we did the landscaping. I’m not sure how much it helps, but I was willing to try anything.
The one area that I could not seem to win the battle against the mosquito though, was inside my own house. Once they got inside, I was on a mission to get them before they could bite me. If I spied a single mosquito in my house, I wouldn’t be able to go to sleep until my husband and I could hunt it down. Things like citronella candles and essential oils didn’t seem to detour them at all.
That’s why when I found this, with thousands of raving reviews, I had to give it a try.
Blue Light Mosquito Trap:
I really didn’t have high hopes for this thing. But, it isn’t expensive, so I figured if it didn’t work, I wouldn’t be out much. Oh boy, I am so glad I gave this a shot. It’s ready to go out of the box. You just plug it in somewhere near where you have the most flying insects. Then, sit back and let it get to work. Within the first day, I saw several bugs stuck to it. Now, after a week, it’s almost full. Just look at how many this thing has trapped:
It’s so simple, yet effective. A blue light lures them to the trap, and then they get stuck to the super sticky pad. Done and done. I’m honestly blown away by how many little bugs this thing has attracted and I’ve already ordered more for some other rooms in the house (aka, my bedroom).
And, when the trap is full, it’s easy to pull it out and replace it with a brand new one. A small price to pay for mosquito free living. Since you’re going to love it, go ahead and invest in this set that comes with replacement traps, so you’re ready to go.
Zevo Flying Insect Trap:
I love it when things exceed my expectations and really provide value. This has solved a significant pain point in my life, and just in time for summer, too. I couldn’t be happier with it. Now, when my kids open and close the back doors 100 times in a day, I’m not that worried about it. Any mosquito that manages to get inside is going to follow the blue light to their end.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, I haven’t gotten a single mosquito bite since buying this thing. Happy customer, indeed.
