Cordless lamps are all the rage. I’m seeing them all over people’s homes, including a waterproof one in the shower! While I think that might be a little excessive, I get the appeal. These provide a soft, inviting glow anywhere you want, without dealing with annoying cords and bright lights. My first experience with cordless, rechargeable lights is when I put some small wall lights in the downstairs closet where we put the shoes. It was sort of a scary black hole and so it became a huge mess of thrown shoes. Not so great in the morning when they needed to find a matching set of those shoes. So, I stuck some slide in, motion activated, rechargeable lights on the ceiling and voila – problem solved. The shoes get all the way to the shoe rack now. Pairs of shoes are easily found. Life is easier.
Great lighting can improve daily routines like that, or it can just offer that lovely warm, soft glow versus glowering overhead lights. If you too love a good “lamp o’clock” (or that time in the evening when you turn on the small, soft lights), then you might love these easy to use, easy to charge, easy to move cordless lamps that you can put almost anywhere you want.

Cordless Lamps Going Viral:
1. Scala Rechargeable Cordless Lamp:
Big smile, small lamp. I love every detail of this Scala lamp. What a conversation piece this would be, and you could move it anywhere! Use it by your favorite chair on a cocktail table. Use it at your desk when you just want cozy light. Use it by the sofa in the evening for a warm glow. Use it to decorate your table for a brunch. Love it so much. There are lots of other design styles, all super unique, from this shop, too.
2. The Viral Waterproof Cordless Lamp:
Indoor, outdoor, in the shower – this tiny, adorable life turns on at the touch of a button and can handle the elements. Available in 5 colors and standing at just under 10 niches tall, it’s one of those things you might use a lot more than you think.
3. Two Pack Adjustable Cordless Lamps:
This pack of two is perfect for setting a long table, or for lighting both sides of a large room. They’re adjustable, both in brightness and in height, so you can customize to your needs. And, they’re waterproof, too, for that outdoor table or camping trip. Comes in black as well, but the gold is so sleek.
4. O’Bright Seraph Cordless Lamp:
Control the brightness of this chic, cordless lamp at the touch of a button and put it wherever you want. This one has gone mega viral in social media videos and the reviews agree – it’s a great lamp. Available in four colors, but this antique brass is my favorite.
5. O’neach 9inch Mushroom Cordless Lamp:
A personal favorite of mine – this midcentury modern mushroom shaped cordless lamp is absolutely adorable and so versatile. Place it anywhere you need a little more light, but not too much. Three dimmable options control the amount of light, so you can get that perfect cozy glow if that’s what you’re after. Plus, it’s easy to charge and carry around.
6. Battery Operated Amber Cordless Lamp:
This one takes a slightly different approach to cordless with a battery operated design. I love the soft amber glow of this one. Amber light has been proven to be softer on the eyes, and if you wake up at night and use an amber light, it’s supposed to be easier to go back to sleep. This one has such a cool look to it, too.
7. Marcus Samuelson Cordless Lamp:
Love the architectural design of this cordless lamp designed by Marcus Samuelson. It comes in several colors, the gold is fantastic, the black is moody and memorable, and this white was the perfect balance between coastal grandma and modern. There’s also a sage green and bright blue, both so good. Lots of good options for a great lamp.
8. Motion Activated, Rechargeable Wall Lights:
Here’s the ones that I put in my downstairs closet. There’s a low ceiling in there, so I stuck them to the ceiling in a row. As soon as the hall door opens, they light up, they stay on the whole time someone is in there, and they shut off on their own after it goes dark. So easy. Then, one day, a few months after buying them, they stopped turning on. I slide them out of the holders (the holders stay on the wall), charged them, and they went back to work in the hall closet. I’ve had them for at least a year and they’re still working great. Overall, highly recommend.
9. O’Bright Bankers Cordless Lamp:
I love the shape of this one. So many little details to the design that make it gorgeous. It’s like a mini version of a floor lamp design. Would add so much panache to a space, while still offering the ease of a cordless lamp. There are three light dimming options and the head swivels around, too. This comes in 4 colorways, but this antique bronze caught my eye.
10. 11.5in. Fluted Cordless Lamp:
This deep emerald green color is so good. I love the shape and everything about this little cordless lamp. It stands a little taller than some of the others on this list, which is perfect for that side table in a cozy corner that doesn’t get much light or for the middle of the table when you want romantic light. High style for a rechargeable design.
11. Mainstays by Becky G., Cordlss Lamp with Lamp Shade:
This blue and white lamp shade looks much more expensive than it is. Would you believe me if I told you this was under $15? Unbelievable. Dimmable, rechargeable, small, and so cute. In fact, I’m adding one to cart. Maybe two.
12. Fatboy Table Lamps Set of 3:
Oh wow, I really love these. I got an instant picture of them placed along a long outdoor table underneath a pergola strung with lights for an evening, outdoor dinner to remember. Everything about the design and the way it’ll provide ambient, romantic light is perfect. Plus, the design is made for indoor/outdoor living – so these lamps can survive the elements. Take them on the beach trip. Take them camping. Live your well-lit life.
13. Blue Rechargeable Indoor/Outdoor Lamps, Set of 2:
This light blue set is calling my name. I love blue and my whole house is done in shades of blue. What can I say, I’m embracing my coastal grandma phase. This set is perfect and I might have (definitely, absolutely) clicked add to cart. But, if blue isn’t for you, this one comes in a TON of colors. The white color is a very close knockoff to a Serena & Lily set that is much more expensive.
14. Red Cordless LED Lamp:
This romantic red light also got added to my cart. I’m such a sucker for red. I love it! Also comes in a white or black lamp shade. All three are stunning and will add a little pop of color and glam to any space. I think the lamp shade makes this pop. I could see these used on tables for a fancy dinner.
*****
It was so easy to find these 14 that I loved most. I probably could’ve added more. Maybe if you love this post, I’ll do another one with even more.
I love how popular these are becoming. Lighting can change how our brains respond to a space and softer lighting really does have a calming effect. Great for winding down an evening, or for that quiet evening at home reading a book with the rain outside. Romanticizing our lives does come down to the little things, the details, like lighting.
