Who’s excited for Halloween? Me! Me! We got our first taste of fall weather this week and that’s enough for me. I’m ready to decorate for Halloween and start celebrating with lots of festive activities. Adorable Halloween Crossword Puzzle:
One of my kiddos has really gotten into puzzles, especially crossword puzzles. I used a few Halloween ones I found online and then there weren’t any more for me to download, so I decided to create one for him myself. I used kid-friendly clues and decorated it with some fun Halloween art so that it could double as a coloring page.
The clues are kid-friendly, using references that they might recognize. If they need a little help, read it out loud to them and see if that inspires any ideas. I tell my kids to start with all of the ones that they know for sure. This gives them some letters to work with when decoding the item that they’re not sure of.
I used to offer printables like this for free – and there’s still a ton of freebies on the blog – but Shopify keeps upping their prices, so I can’t keep paying to offer freebies.
