Halloween is coming – do you have your costume ready? As a tired mom who focuses more on what my kids wear than my own costume now, I am always on the hunt for cute, but super easy, Halloween makeup looks that I can pair with comfortable, easy clothing.
Plus, I’m not going to sacrifice my skin for one day of cool makeup – so I only use real makeup on my skin, even for costumes. Luckily, this is super achievable with just a small range of makeup colors that I can reuse into my everyday makeup. Links are included below for all of the makeup used to create these looks.
By the way, I learned all of these cute Halloween makeup looks that create super easy Halloween costumes from my good friend and makeup guru Annie, who has shared all of these pictures and tips with you today. She shares a ton of makeup tricks, life hacks and super easy, delicious recipes on her Instagram. So, give her a follow for a color match or for just tons of free, great tips.

4. Easy Mermaid Halloween Makeup Look:
Are you twinsing with a little Ariel or just want to summon your inner siren? This mermaid makeup hack is going to blow your mind and have you swimming happily in no time.
Here’s what you’ll need to recreate this shimmering mermaid makeup look:
Eyes:
- Apply a wash of Cupcake all over from lash line to brow to give the shadows a nice foundation to blend easily on.
- Apply Gilded on lid from corner to corner.
- Apply Kin in the outer corner.
- Apply Mi Hija in the crease.
- Apply On Wednesdays on the center of the lid and toward the inner corner.
- Finally, Unicorn on your brow bone, inner corner, and down under the eye a bit.
Foundation:
- Use a foundation color similar to your skin tone. Annie applied Candlelit.
Mermaid Tint:
You’ll pull a hair net down over your face and start applying the colors from dark to light, creating an ombre/fade look. Place the darkest color where contour would normally go and fade to the lighter colors as you move away from the darker color.
- Darkest of the contour tones – Black Cherry Lip + Cheek
- Pink + Gold tone – Hollywood Lip +Cheek
- Peach tone – Frenchie Lip + cheek
- Shimmery cream tone – Unicorn
Hair:
Finish the look with a spritz of this Kristen Ess Rose Gold Temporary hair tint. Easily washes out, so it’s a no commitment situation.
