I’m certainly never going to be confused with a fashionista. I definitely prioritize comfort over style at this point in my life. But, I do like to appear pulled together. I recently picked up this shirt and camo pants and put them together with some other things I already had. It was a big win – because my son told me that I “looked cool”.
As you know, that is a huge compliment in mom world. I do not get told that I look cool very often, so I’m immortalizing this moment on the blog so I never forget it. But, in addition to looking cool, according to my kids, I was also super comfortable. And that is the epitome of my goal with getting dressed in the morning – being comfortable and (hopefully) looking cool.

Cool Mom Fall Outfit:
- Oversized Super Soft Halloween Tee – Softer than soft. Literally one of my favorite shirts I’ve bought in a long, long time. And, the way it’s cut, it doesn’t look like a giant, frumpy t-shirt. It has a great drape. I love it so much.
- Wide Leg Camo Pants – Bought these. So good. The way they hang, even on a curvy bod, is flattering. I was in between sizes and sized up. I’m glad I did.
- Gold Aviator Sunglassess – You can order these in prescription or not. Lots of options to customize and still affordable. I have to wear prescription glasses and I have used Zenni for years for affordable, stylish prescription sunglasses. They have great customer service, too.
- Pompeii Layered Necklace – I ordered this and love it. 18k gold plating over 925 sterling silver. No nickel. I love not having to layer the necklaces on my own or deal with separate clasps.
- Pillow Slides – I wish I could tell you I’m too cool for these, but I’m not. They’re so comfortable and perfect for slipping on when running out the house to do carpool. If you’re cooler than me, you can swap these out for some Adidas or a black and white sneaker and up the style a little more.
