Hard to believe there’s just ten days until Valentine’s Day! This is one of my favorite holidays. I love how Valentine’s Day encourages all of us to show our appreciation for the people we care about. And, as a mom, I love that it doesn’t require a lot of work, lol.
I mean, after the trio of Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas – I think we can all agree that a holiday that is easy, cheap, and fun is checking all the boxes.
As the day of love grows closer, I’ve been getting everything together: classroom valentines, themed outfits for the kids, and setting up some cute and simple home decor. And, I did a little something for myself, too. I’ve been trying to do a better job of doing things that make me happy as well. That’s why I treated myself to a new pair of red sunglasses for Valentine’s Day and spring. These deep red sunglasses with red tinted lenses are going to go perfectly with my pink and red outfits this month. They’ll add a pop of color to my typical all black outfits, too. And, one of the best parts, is that they’re super affordable and ship fast. A big thank you to Zenni for gifting me these glasses.
Zenni Glasses for Valentine’s Day:
I’ve been buying Zenni glasses for years and love how easy it is to use their site, as well as how accurate the prescription is every time. Zenni has a ton of options for glasses and sunglasses that would add a little flare to your Valentine’s Day outfits. Even my sunglasses have to be prescription (well, if I want to be able to see) and while it used to bum me out, it’s been a lot more fun since finding Zenni. They have a ton of options, with lots of shapes, sizes, and designs, including brands like Kate Spade (my favorite), Adidas, Jimmy Choo, and ambassador collections, too.
If you fall in love with a pair of eyeglasses, you can turn them into sunglasses, too, by selecting tinted lenses during checkout. Score!
Another fun option is their transition lenses, which actually adapt to the amount of light. This turns glasses into sunglasses in seconds. I wrote a whole post about my Zenni Transitions. I have been wearing these glasses a lot. It makes it so easy for me to pop in and out of stores and other places while running errands or chaffeuring my kids around. I don’t have to carry two pairs of glasses everywhere now, which takes one thing off my very full plate.

Zenni Sunglasses: Lens Options
Something else I love about shopping Zenni is the many options for customizing lenses. The system makes recommendations on which ones would work best with the frames and your prescription, to make the decision even easier. I’ve tried out lots of combinations over the years and they’ve all been good. I’ll walk you through the lens selections I made with these red sunglasses.
Red Cat Eye Sunglasses:
These are the exact sunglasses I bought, but there are tons of frame options. I rounded up some of the other red and pink glasses I also liked. Any of these can be bought with sunglass lenses as well.
Sunglasses: Lens Options
There are three types of lens options for sunglasses: polarized, classic, and then Blokz, which filters out the harmful blue light and UV rays. Each type offers different color options and polarized lenses also come mirrored (I love mirrored lenses).
For these sunglasses, I selected classic so that I could get the desert rose tint, which has a similar color to the frames. I usually get very dark tinted lenses or mirrored, so I can cover my eyes. This time, I wanted something different, plus I loved how the glasses looked in the website photo and copied that.
Next, you select a lens package. I went with the recommended option: advanced, because it reduces glare and repels water. Perfect for this very rainy February we are having. You can upgrade even more to premium and get smudge proof, which I probably should have done.
With all of these selections, my glasses came in under $50. If you’ve bought prescription glasses before, you know how amazing this is. While prices may vary, Zenni offers promotions a lot which will always keep the cost low. It really is one of the best places to get prescription glasses.
They have kids options, too, and we have several pairs of those. High quality, comfortable, and lightweight.

One thing I am trying to be better about it taking care of myself, too. Something simple, like a new pair of red sunglasses, can really be the pick-me-up I need sometimes. They’ve already brightened up this gloomy February.
I hope this inspires you to find the things that bring you joy and do them for yourself this month. The day of love includes self-love, too.

Have a fabulous day,
