Treat Undereye Puffiness, Dark Circles & Wrinkles with Eyetech by Space Touch

Treat Undereye Puffiness, Dark Circles & Wrinkles with Eyetech by Space Touch

I recently got a facial with someone new and before she got started, she looked at my skin and asked me what my age was. When I told her, she almost fell off her stool. She said she would’ve guessed my age to be at least 10 years younger than what I said.

She’s not the first person to tell me this – and honestly – I credit this to the incredible skin care and skin care devices that I use regularly at home. While I’m interested in botox and injections, I’ve never gotten them, nor have I invested in chemical peels or more aggressive facials yet.

Over the last couple of years, though, I’ve seen more signs of aging, like fine lines, more hyperpigmentation and dark spots than I have in the past, so I’ve upped my game. I added in a red LED light face mask that I absolutely feel is making a difference, but it doesn’t get as close to the undereye area as I would like.

So, when Space Touch reached out to see if I wanted to try the first LED light therapy for the undereye area, I was 100% all in. I’m going to share all the details with you today including whether or not it actually works. Update 3/24: There are newer and more affordable options now for treating under eye areas with red light. While I still like my Eyetech, I have another one now that is fantastic. It is like wearing sunglasses. Completely painless, noticeable difference, and more affordable. Check it out here.

What is Eyetech by Space Touch?

Designed by leading plastic surgeons, Eyetech is a totally hands-free, cordless undereye red LED light device that helps with undereye puffiness, dark circles and even hyperpigmentation. Red LED light is being used in all kinds of skin devices because of it’s incredible ability to boost the production of collagen, which naturally declines as we age. It has also been shown to reduce redness, even skin tone, and give you a more youthful complexion.

In my opinion, the coolest feature of these undereye red LED lights is that they are totally cordless and hands-free. I literally wear them while I am typing away on my computer, doing dishes, folding laundry, you name it. They stay so close to the skin, thanks to little sticky strips, so it doesn’t effect my vision as much as the full face mask that I wear at night. I can even watch TV and cook while they’re on. They literally couldn’t be easier to use.

The little reusable stickers are strong enough to stay on your face, but not so strong that they hurt when you remove them. Keep the plastic cover that are on the stickers and put them back on when you’re finished, so you can reuse the stickers. In my experience, I’ve been able to reuse the same set of stickers for about a week before needing to switch them out. They don’t hurt when you peel them off, but I hold my skin tight to make sure it doesn’t drag on my skin.

The Eyetech comes with a pouch filled with these little stickers – plenty to last me a long time.

How To Use Eyetech Undereye Lights:

I made this little video for my Instagram of my Eyetech unboxing and how to apply the stickers. Check it out here:

I love skin care that is easy and painless and that is exactly what Eyetech offers. To use, just put the stickers on the undereye devices and then gently press them under your eyes. They are labeled with a little “L” for your left eye and “R” for your right eye. The more narrow part of the Eyetech should be on the inner corner of your eye with the thicker side on the outside of your undereye area if you have them on correctly.

Then, you have a couple different options: red light therapy online, red light therapy and vibration, or just vibration. You can choose by clicking the button to go through the options. The Eyetech device will shut off automatically after 10 minutes, but you can do more treatments if you like. It’s safe to use for longer. If you want to stop the treatment, just hold down the power button to turn off.

The Eyetech compact is also the charging station. It comes with a charging cord that you use to plug it into the wall like you would a phone. Make sure the Eyetech undereye lights are in the compact and then plug the compact into the charger.

I have found that I can use my Eyetech for a few treatments before needing to charge it again. I’m actually wearing them right now while I write this, lol.

Benefits of the Eyetech Undereye Device:

Eyetech uses a combination of vibrational therapy and red LED wavelength, powered by NASA technology, to refresh your skin and promote a more youthful complexion. Here are some of the benefits of using Eyetech: ;

  • Boosts collagen
  • Treats undereye wrinkles
  • Treats undereye discoloration
  • Treats undereye puffiness
  • Lightweight
  • Compact
  • Easy to travel with
  • Gentle warming sensation feels great on tired eyes (okay, I added this one, lol)

If you’ve used any type of LED light facial device or mask, you’re already sold on this technology and now it’s available in an undereye device. Considering the old adage, “The eyes never lie” – it’s great to take care of this delicate area of skin, since it’s prone to show the signs of age first.

So does the Eyetech work?

Ahh, the million dollar question! In my opinion, yes it does. In the summers, I am especially prone to more dark spots in my skin and this year, that seems to have concentrated in patches that are right around the edges of where my sunglasses sit. The Eyetech covers the area that has darkened and when I use it regularly, alongside with my usual skin care routine which includes regular exfoliation and vitamin C serums, I do see results. When I stop using it, I start to see the dark spots coming back again.

Once the summer is over and I’m not laying out in our new pool all the time, the dark patches should continue to lighten (until next summer, of course), and I won’t have to work so hard on them. I’ll keep using my Eyetech, though, because I also feel it helps with puffiness and fine lines under my eyes.

The undereye area is one of the most difficult areas to treat. I have really sensitive skin, so some of the powerhouse undereye creams are just not an option for me. Devices like this keep the needles at bay and deliver painless results.
